HEY! My posting has been in and out over the past year but these last few months we havent had a computer I could post off of… I have had so many adventures this summer, including two trips out of state! This summer the rain and heat have been with us pretty much everyday! I just want to send out a SMILE to anyone reading this and remind you that God has a plan for your life!! LIFE IS GOOD!

BBB-Blueberries

Today we had the opportunity to go pick some blueberries at a friend’s house for FREE! We must have gotten way over a couple thousand of them!! We picked and picked and picked and got over 3 gallon jugs and I tell you what… It doesn’t look like that many in the containers until you dump them out and start picking though them. :S It was just amazing to see how many blueberries grow on each tree and I tell you what… our chickens love the squishy ones! They must have sucked them down in less than a 45 sec. NO JOKE! So If anyone out there knows me personally and really, really wants FRESH PICKED BLUEBERRIES, let me know!

Going Back

Well, I must say that when I got on here and saw I had posted something this year I was very happy! I know I haven’t been posting at all, the reasons being various, but I had the urge to get on here today.

I was going back in my mind and thinking about the reasons for starting a blog and the reason is, I started this blog because I had always thought it would be so COOL to have my own blog! Then I ended up using it for a project I had to do, and then after the project I slowly started to ramp up my schedule and it just sorta got lost and didn’t become a priority. I was also thinking about what I had planned on posting about and I remembered!!

I wanted to post about my life, sorta as a journal but more of a documentary. A place I could write about our lives, post favorite recipes, funny story’s I wanted to remember, thoughts I had on certain topics, good movies we watched, and to be a light. I wanted, in this small subtle way, maybe just maybe, be a witness to someone! I wanted to share favorite Bible verses, and post things in a Christian point of view.

I’m glad I had this little talk with myself and all my readers(haha)! It made me remember the reasons behind this blog and what it started out as and what I want it to continue to be. So, sometimes I won’t have anything to say, and sometimes I won’t know what to post about, but I am going to ask the Lord to be the guideline for not only this blog but for every aspect in my life!

Movie Review

If you haven’t noticed, good movies are getting harder to come byand I think a good movie is worth sharing! The other day we watched a movie called The Secrets of Jonathan Sperry. I think that this movie was really good and great to get kids and adults thinking. If you havn’t watched it check it out on Netflix or you can find it on Amazon.

Hello Again

Well, I have to admit that my blog has been pretty boring the last few months. No posts, No updates, no added things to the pages, no new look,nothing. I’m sure I haven’t gotten very many views either. But today because it is rainy and because I felt just a tad guilty for not posting, HERE I AM!

I got to thinking the other day about what really is important to me and what really matters in my life. The funny thing is, a lot of what I like and do isn’t going to matter when the Lord comes back. So, Instead of playing a sport just to play it or doing something just because, I should be doing them also thinking of how many people I can be a witness, too. I mean how many people can I reach out too? How many people can I talk to about Jesus? How many people can I influence through the way I act? The Lord has gifted all of us in many areas to reach out and love people. He has put each and every one of us in a situation to learn from and come closer to Him and to share His love with others. And that is definitely worth sharing!!!

Wow, It has been a whole month since I was last on this site!!! I can’t believe how fast the month of September went by. I have been keeping busy with Cross Country, soccer, school, teaching, etc.

It is starting to feel just a hint like fall and I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it!! I hope it stays like this all day.

So, I have been thinking and praying and thinking and praying for a while now what kind of study I want to do, and what the Lord has laid on my heart is to do a STUDY IN 1st CHORINTHIANS!!! That’s what you have to look forward, too!

Back to School

To those of you who started back to school today, Happy 1st day of school! Here at the Loony Bin we haven’t quite started yet, due to the fact that my brother is still away and will be returning soon, and we are waiting until he gets back to really start! I did do school today though because the fresh scent of pencil lead was calling my name. haha Well, actually I just wanted to get back into the groove of things!

I feel really bad that I haven’t been posting and that is something I am hoping to start doing again soon because you know what… I like blogging! It’s fun and you can write whatever you feel like!!

Mixed up post

I am wanting to do a study on something and I have prayed about it for a while and I am still not sure what I want to do. So, If you have any ideas I am open to suggestions! With the school year coming I am hoping to blog more and get back in to the jig of things. This year is probably going to be a little busier than last year because I am thinking about doing a few more sports!!! Hopefully they will be FUN!!!!!!!

Abadaba Alphabet is a cute little book for kids who are just learning their letters and their sounds!!! If you haven’t heard of it you can check it out here, or you can get it cheaper here.

My Pretty Pink Alphabet Purse is another cute book that teaches them the alphabet have a look here or here! I think the price is the same either way for this one.

If your kid likes animals then Animal Alphabet might be the book to get them! It’s a cute book and all my siblings like it! You can find it here!
